post number 1, a daunting task…

All the questions like what to write about, will anyone want to read that. and what i came to conclude was; ‘who gives a damn! just jump in the damn pool, if its cold get out and get over it!’

you see im a big procrastinator (I know, so are you we all are. but this is my blog, ur reading it so your going to hear about me!) I made this blog column thingi about 6 months ago and until today havent come back. I have a passion for ideas and half starting projects, and damn the more I write here the more I realise that everyone else is the same… sigh now im sounding like what they now days call ‘emo’

What the crap is emo anyway? I did a little research and found http://www.somethingdirectory.com/main_emo.htm . a great little short film on the subject, and that podcast is out there somewhere too, something like ‘emo hope’ or ‘hope is emo’ or something like that. watched them and concluded (after first laughing really hard) that I was once emo, or as we called it once ‘alternative’. you know the ‘noone understands me’ dark teenage gloomy years. lotsa fun (carefully concealed to look like no fun), smoking, listening only to one type of music, everyone else sucks mentality. And the funny thing is, is that the whole thing (i.m.o) just goes towards building yourself up and being able to feel some sort of superiority over others.

And everyone does it, whether you be a jock or a geek, we all (well, most of us, going by my non-researched findings) find someway of looking down on each other. geeks look down on other geeks all the time, (dont believe me jst play world of warcraft and ask a stupid question ) (- yes i play wow, whats it too you?) jocks look down on geeks, geeks look down on jocks, and these ‘emo’ kids look down on everyone, usually for their crap music tastes, or for being part of the ‘mainstream’ – (do not get me started on the ‘mainstream’ thing). Just as I did when i was in high school. the cycle goes on, my generation was definatly not the first to do it – and this generation will definatly no tbe the last…

Ooo i bet iv annoyed someone with that, loooking forward to replies.. lets rip my unfounded statements to pieces! and before you start – no i cant spell or grammar, yes i love things like … and (words in brackets ) and will do them too often, and yes this is all the ramblings of someone with a lot of better things to do, but hey thats blogging isn’t it?

Enjoi,

glass

edit: and yes i stole the name for the blog from john marsdens book entitled – tomorrow when the war began. pretty sure i read it once, the name stuck, title fits in with the procrastination thing get it? yup, haha

@#1: I had a really nasty reply half typed, in regards to your meaningless spam remark. Now, not taking away or de-railing the comments in any form (at least not intentionally), but i feel that this kind of advertising by playing on the affections of bloggers is plainly wrong. Offering popmus generic flattery and then expending more time/characters pushing their reward via link is quite rude and very unjustly forthright. Oh woe, for gone are the days of subtly in this cruel new world. I hence call for the deletion of the above comment and the making of a stand of all things moral and just and universally pure.

im going to jump in and say that i wont be removing the first comment, based on the fact that it would make comment number 2 meaningless. why do people see the need to erase pieces of the past, obscurring our hindsight. I love hindsight, it always seems much clearer, but with only fragments of the past remaining, how clear can it be?

ah my young friend, my afore mentioned call was one of metaphorical nature, and not intended to be taken as literally as it was so. Of couse we cannot go and remove the folly’s of the weak, we can but mark them as what they truly are, hence allowing this clarity for others you so duly seek.
