First Billy sighting!
March 17, 2008
So I was at the last day of the NZ vs England test match today at the Basin Reserve in wellington today (New Zealand lost
) and they announced over the loud speaker that Billy Corgan had come to the match to watch. so i immediately get excited and start freaking out. Anyway at the end of the game he went onto the field and talked to some press people and walked around, i managed to take a pic or two – mind you from a distance.
Billy on the right wearing black and the big sunhat (very nice billy:) ):
and again using dirty digital zoom:
Following that i went out the back of the stadium and saw him in his car driving away, i called out happy birthday to him but he didnt seem to notice, the girl with him waved
sooo exciting!
So anyway if you ever manage to read this Billy, welcome to Wellington, it’s a pleasure having you here, and Happy Birthday

wow that’s awesome, i remember him talking about cricket at the brisbane TFE show! woo!
well he loves his baseball, cricket is the father of baseball:)
Thats awesome! What a way for Billy to spend his birthday, he always said he’s a bit of a cricket fan.
btw – Do you mind if I post this sighting on my website http://www.ozphoria.com ?
I will give credit etc.

Where we tonight shall camp?….The top blogs of the day. the newest report , see and reply me some comments. Thanks.
Yeah I was watching on TV in the UK and the camera zoomed in on him in the stands. The commentator (David Lloyd) mentioned him (and how Siamese Dream is a “good album and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, another good album”) which made me laugh as David Llod is a 51year old cricketer and not your typical pumpkins fan!! Random. Shame Billy only saw about 2hrs play?!! But at least he saw England win (sorry!)!!!
Hi! I was surfing and found your blog post… nice! I love your blog.
